Our Story

​​We began as a virtual choir during lockdown, battling the sense of isolation so many of us felt during this difficult time. The name was inspired by our founder looking up at the sun during a lockdown walk, and the feeling that  sense of peace, hope and connection from the sun.

Slowly this choir transformed into two distinct groups; Sparky Parkies, for people with Parkinsons and their carers to come together and sing in a therapy-informed setting and Monday Melodies where our volunteers lead care homes and day centres in therapuetic singing groups. 

We also lead singing events for other charities or organisations, such as recent appearances at the Carers Jersey lunch or our shanties with the National Trust at the unveiling of the Puffins event at Plemont.
